We are
called in life to go out and be the hands and feet of God in this world,
and United Campus Ministry / Christians
Open Minded takes this calling very seriously! In addition to the
many local mission work opportunities that UCM/COM takes part in, we
are working on plans to again embark on two different mission trips over spring break this
year! Read more about each trip below!

Appalachian Mission Trip

Teaming up with Appalachia Service Projects,
UCM/COM will be sending a team of workers to
Jonesville, VA to do home repair for those who desperately need
it, visit with residents, as well as other assorted
tasks. We will be leaving early Sunday morning
and will leave the Appalachian region to return home
on Saturday morning. STUDENT EMPLOYEES should take special
note - we'll be back in time for RA's
and other student workers to return to their jobs!
LOCATION: Jonesville, Virginia or
Chavies, KY
COST: $250, plus food on the way down
and back.
NUMBER OF PEOPLE: 14-21

Honduras Medical Mission Trip
Spring
Break 2010 or May 2010 |

Interested in lending helping hands to those who are
desperately in need? Then consider a trip to
Honduras! No prior knowledge or experience is
required.
You will stay in hotels and work in local medical missions. There
will also be one or two days for touring. Our Honduras trips are sponsored
by Central America Relief Efforts of Coatesville and First Presbyterian
Church of Lancaster, and are designed especially for MU college students. Steven Mentzer
of CARE will accompany the group. The group will
probably leave early Saturday morning and
will return the following Sunday in time for classes.
Estimated cost of this trip is
$1100 which
includes air fare, lodging, and meals, but COM will do its best to
help monetarily. Group fundraisers are also in the works!

depend on need)
